Purposeful Play in Kindergarten

In this full day workshop, educators will learn the research behind play, discover simple ways to connect play to standards and report cards, and learn how to manage and assess play with confidence. You’ll leave with a plan to bring more purposeful play into your classroom right away.

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Understand the research and developmental benefits behind play-based learning.
• Identify ways to align play with standards and report card expectations.
• Discover strategies for scheduling, managing, and assessing through play.
• Create an action plan to implement or expand play in their classroom.
