School Business Services Workshop

This workshop will provide fundamental knowledge and skills for superintendents, bookkeepers, and the learning community.

Topics will include School Maintenance Grants, Annual Budgeting and a review of how to complete the State Budget Form, Annual Statement of Affairs (ASA), Audit and Annual Financial Report (making sure AJE’s have been entered and accounts are cleaned up for new FY), Tax Levy Prep/Assistance, Site-Based Expenditure Reporting (Questions/Deadline Approaching), Illinois Accounting Rules – Part 100, Fund Transfers, Cash Flows and Workbook Review, Grant Expenditure Reporting and Due Dates, and FRIS System and Reporting.

A Basic Bookkeeper Guide which outlines daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and why these are important for financial purposes will also be provided.
