Social Emotional Learning Is It Sensory or Is It Behavior

March 3, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

| Free | Lunch on your own

In this training, we will define sensory processing and sensory needs and will discuss way to support students who are showing sensory challenges in the classroom. The training will also help to identify educator sensory needs as well as those of students they teach. During the training we will practice utilizing sensory assessments tools and identifying needs from these tools. We will also discuss and practice utilizing sensory supportive tools and activities that will promote student learning and social emotional achievement.  We all have sensory needs and can feel uncomfortable when we are overwhelmed in our senses, as well as feel lethargic when there is not enough stimulation, which is why early identification is key.
