LICENSURE SPECIALIST/PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COORDINATOR
ROE #21 is seeking a detail-oriented Licensure Specialist / Professional Learning Coordinator to manage and oversee educator licensure and certification processes in alignment with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois School Code, while also supporting the coordination of professional learning opportunities across the region.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Licensure Specialist
- Maintain accurate, confidential licensure records (digital and physical)
- Track deadlines for renewals, registrations, and approvals
- Manage licensure data using ISBE systems (e.g., ELIS) and internal tools
- Prepare reports on licensure status, compliance, and regional trends
- Coordinate licensure workflows, including transcripts, applications, and approvals
- Ensure compliance with ISBE and local documentation standards
- Update internal procedures and licensure guidance as needed
- Serve as the primary contact for licensure questions and support
- Provide clear, timely guidance on requirements, applications, and renewals
- Train and support staff on licensure procedures and systems
- Communicate ISBE updates through meetings and ongoing communications
- Assist with troubleshooting licensure issues and application concerns
- Coordinate with ISBE to resolve complex licensure matters
Professional Learning Coordination
- Support planning and coordination of professional development opportunities
- Manage training logistics, including scheduling, registration, and communication
- Assist in developing and organizing learning materials and resources
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the quality and delivery of professional learning
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office management tools (e.g., G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
- Ability to multitask, handle sensitive information with discretion, and solve problems independently.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable attendance with a proven track record of punctuality and commitment to regular, consistent work performance.
- The work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with ROE demands. Overtime is required when requested.

SALARY / BENEFITS
This is a 12-month position offering a salary of $35,000-$45,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to the competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package.
