TEACHER’S AIDE Project ECHO Alternative School


The mission of ECHO’s alternative school is to provide a unique education environment where the delivery of services meets the individual learning needs of a diverse population in a nontraditional setting. Alternative Education provides a choice for students and parents, capitalizes on the high quality of available expertise, and fosters caring, respectful relationships where students are valued.  With the support of families and the community, we create enriching and diverse pathways that lead our students to success.  We offer a positive learning environment for both staff and students and we are looking for an energetic and positive minded individual to join our team. The Teacher’s Aide will provide support for students in an effective and appropriate educational program, will support classroom instruction that helps students learn. To accomplish this, teachers’ aides must be prepared to work individually with students and to be able to support the teacher’s lessons, grade student work and offer feedback, manage classroom materials, productively navigate the curriculum, and collaborate with other staff. To assist students with social adjustment strategies for the purpose of creating a positive learning environment that promotes student academics as well as social and emotional growth.   • Must hold current Paraprofessional License through Illinois State Board of Education

Experience working with At-Risk youth is preferred.

SALARY / BENEFITS:  180 – day position with salary and benefits

Offers of employment will be made contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, and criminal background check. Candidates who refuse to submit to testing will be disqualified from the hiring process.
